Hebrew fontsעברית

Hebrew typefaces for print, screen and signage. Type your own text into the preview — it runs right to left, just as it will in use.

4 open-licensed fonts that can set Hebrew, each free to download for personal and commercial work.

Niqqud

Most Hebrew is written without vowel points (niqqud). If your text uses them — children's books, poetry, prayer — check them in the preview: not every Hebrew font includes them, and their placement varies.

Mixing with English

Hebrew text often carries English words and numbers, which run left to right inside the right-to-left line. Preview a mixed sentence to check the two scripts sit well together at the same size.

Setting Hebrew text

Hebrew needs right-to-left layout. Word switches automatically once Hebrew is added under its language settings. In Photoshop, switch to the Middle Eastern and South Asian text engine under Preferences → Type.
