About Heebo
Heebo extends Christian Robertson's Roboto to Hebrew. Oded Ezer drew the Hebrew to match Roboto's clean, mechanical skeleton, so Hebrew and Latin share one consistent, modern voice — useful in a product that mixes both on every screen.
It ships as a variable font from Thin to Black, giving a full typographic range for interfaces, dashboards, websites and marketing.
Because its Hebrew comes first, its vertical metrics differ slightly from Roboto's. Choose it when you want Roboto's neutrality in Hebrew; for something warmer, consider Secular One.
Licence
Heebo is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits use in personal and commercial work. Read the licence before redistributing the files or selling them on.
Installing it
- Windows.
- Right-click the downloaded file and choose Install, or drop it into Settings → Personalisation → Fonts.
- macOS.
- Double-click the file and press Install Font in Font Book.
- On the web.
- Self-host the WOFF2 and declare it with an
@font-facerule rather than linking to this page. - Hebrew text.
- Hebrew needs right-to-left layout. Word switches automatically once Hebrew is added under its language settings. In Photoshop, switch to the Middle Eastern and South Asian text engine under Preferences → Type.
