Can I bold text in a Facebook post?+
Not with a formatting button โ Facebook has none for personal posts. The bold style above produces Mathematical Bold characters, which look bold everywhere they render. Note they are not really bold text, just characters shaped that way.
Will this work in comments and Messenger?+
Yes, both. Messenger additionally supports its own markup โ asterisks for bold and underscores for italic โ which is the better choice inside a conversation.
Should I style my Page name?+
Avoid it. Facebook's Page name policy discourages unusual characters, styled names rank poorly in search, and a Page called ๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ฏ๐ถ will not be found by anyone typing Bakery.
Why does my text look different on someone else's phone?+
Each platform substitutes its own glyph for characters its font lacks. The same Unicode string can look sharp on iOS, plain on Android and boxed on an older desktop browser.
