Discord Font Generator

Discord already understands markdown in messages β€” double asterisks for bold, underscores for italic, backticks for code. Unicode styles are for the places markdown does not reach: usernames, nicknames, server names and channel topics.

Questions

How do I format text inside a Discord message?+

Use markdown: **bold**, *italic*, __underline__, ~~strikethrough~~, and backticks for `code`. That is the right tool inside chat β€” it stays readable and searchable.

Where are Unicode styles actually useful on Discord?+

Anywhere markdown is ignored: your global username, per-server nickname, server name, channel topics and custom status. Those fields store raw characters, so the style has to be in the characters.

Will a styled nickname get me muted by bots?+

It can. Plenty of moderation bots flag or auto-rename accounts using unusual character ranges, because raiders use them to evade filters. Check a server's rules before restyling your nickname.

Can I change the actual font Discord displays?+

Only for yourself, and only on desktop with client modifications that violate the terms of service. Nothing you type changes the typeface other people see.
