About Sriracha

Sriracha is Itim's loopless sibling from Cadson Demak: an informal Thai and Latin handwriting face whose Thai drops the traditional loops and whose Latin is a casual sans.

OpenType features recreate the variety of real handwriting, and two stylistic sets offer alternate letterforms. The loose, lively strokes suit street-food menus, packaging, posters, comics and social graphics.

Keep it to headings and short text, and pair it with a calm text face such as Sarabun for anything longer.

Licence

Sriracha is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits use in personal and commercial work. Read the licence before redistributing the files or selling them on.

Installing it

Windows.
Right-click the downloaded file and choose Install, or drop it into Settings → Personalisation → Fonts.
macOS.
Double-click the file and press Install Font in Font Book.
On the web.
Self-host the WOFF2 and declare it with an @font-face rule rather than linking to this page.
Thai text.
Thai needs a text engine that stacks vowels and tone marks; Word and current browsers handle it. Mark web text lang="th" so lines break at Thai word boundaries.
