About Galada
Galada takes Pablo Impallari's Lobster — the bold connected script — and extends it to Bengali. The Bengali was drawn by Jeremie Hornus, Yoann Minet and Juan Bruce at Black Foundry in Paris, keeping Lobster's fat, flowing strokes and confident rhythm.
It is a display script, lively for festival posters, food packaging, wedding cards and social graphics in Bangla.
Use it large and sparingly. Like Lobster, it becomes hard to read in body text and at small sizes, and two decorative faces on one page will fight — pair it with a quiet sans such as Hind Siliguri.
