Shadows Into Light

Shadows Into Light is light, airy handwriting — thin even strokes, generous spacing between letters, and a gentle rightward lean. Kimberly Geswein based it on her own hand, and it keeps the small irregularities that make real writing look unposed.

The lightness is its defining quality and its main constraint. It gives a page a soft, personal, diary-like texture that works for quote cards, journalling templates, scrapbook layouts and craft branding. It also means it needs contrast behind it — on a busy background the thin strokes disappear.

Set it larger than you think you need to, and never in a weight-critical role like a button label or a heading that has to carry a layout.
