Orbitron

Orbitron is a geometric sans built out of squared-off, wide letterforms with flat curves and hard corners — the visual shorthand for technology and science fiction. Matt McInerney designed it explicitly for display use in futuristic contexts.

It does that job convincingly: game titles, esports branding, sci-fi film credits, technology event posters, dashboard headers that want to feel like instrumentation. The wide proportions mean short words fill a lot of horizontal space, which suits a title card and fights a narrow column.

It is a single-purpose face. Outside the tech-and-space register it reads as costume, and it has no business in body text at any size.
