About Dancing Script

Dancing Script is a casual connecting script with a deliberately unsteady baseline — letters rise and fall as they run along the line, which is where the name comes from. Impallari Type drew it in the tradition of mid-century hand-lettered signage rather than formal penmanship.

The bounce makes it feel spontaneous and warm, so it turns up constantly on cafe menus, greeting cards, bakery packaging and wedding stationery that wants to be friendly rather than formal. It has a lowercase that genuinely works, unlike many scripts, so short phrases hold together.

Keep it to a line or two at display size. Connecting scripts accumulate visual noise fast, and this one is lively enough that a full paragraph becomes exhausting.
