About Caveat

Caveat reads like something written quickly in the margin of a page. Impallari Type drew it as a casual handwriting face with a fairly consistent stroke weight and letters that stay mostly separate rather than joining up, which keeps it legible where more florid scripts turn into texture.

That legibility is the point. It is the rare handwriting font you can actually set a sentence or two in — annotations, pull quotes, a caption that should feel personal, a note pinned to a design mockup. Google Docs ships it for exactly this reason.

It still is not body-text material, and it should not carry your interface. Below about 16px the informality reads as blur.
