About Catamaran
Catamaran is a Tamil and Latin sans by Pria Ravichandran, named after the twin-hulled boat that South Indian fishermen used long before it reached Western boatyards. The Tamil is monolinear and was drawn alongside the Palanquin family, so the two scripts share a calm, modern texture.
Nine weights, from Thin to Black, in one variable file make it one of the most complete Tamil families available — enough to build a full hierarchy of headings, body and captions from one design.
Use it for Tamil websites, apps, reports and signage. The light weights are elegant at large sizes; for small text, stay at Regular or heavier.
